How do I fix crashes when importing from Primavera (Regional Settings)?

 

Introduction

A common problem when importing from Primavera is when the computer that created the SDEF file has its Regional Settings set to a language other than English.

 

How to Prevent the Crash

To set your Regional Settings to English perform the following steps:

1. Open your computer Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel window find the icon for Regional and Language settings and open it. The Regional and Language window will open.
3. Click on the Formats tab to make it active. It may already be active.
4. In the combo box titled Format: make sure it is set to English (United States).
5. Click on [OK] to close the Regional and Language window.
6. Close your Control Panel.
